Israeli strikes target ambulances in Gaza, injuries reported
The agency reported that Israeli forces surrounded multiple ambulances as medics attempted to assist those injured in airstrikes on the Al-Hashashin area of Rafah. While the exact number of injured paramedics was not disclosed, several were reported hurt.
Additionally, the agency stated that it lost communication with its medical rescue units that were trying to reach the ambulances struck in the attack.
At the same time, the Israeli military released an evacuation directive for Palestinians in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood in western Rafah.
Military representative Avichay Adraee announced that Israeli forces had initiated an operation in the area, urging residents to move to al-Mawasi along the Gaza coastline, describing Tel al-Sultan as a "dangerous combat zone."
Since Tuesday, over 700 Palestinians have lost their lives, and more than 1,000 have been injured due to Israel's unexpected air campaign on Gaza. This escalation has disrupted a ceasefire and inmate swap deal that had been in place since January.
